Description
The Meco OX multi-port torch tips were developed for use with natural gas and oxygen but also work with propane gas and oxygen. They are primarily used in applications where you are seeking the maximum amount of heat in a concentrated flame. Meco designed these tips years ago for welding applications, not necessarily for jewelry applications. Welders need to maximize the heat from natural gas, since natural gas puts out less BTU’s compared to propane or Acetylene. The multi-port design of this tip creates a shorter but more intense flame that the single orifice standard tips
Depending on your application, you may want to consider these tips for use with the Meco torch and natural gas/oxygen, but for most jewelry applications with gold, silver, copper and other soft non-ferrous metals the single orifice standard tips are preferred.
