Description
New from Nikon, the latest megabrand to enter the 10X triplet wars, this 10x triplet is made in Japan and housed in a lightweight black plastic frame. This stylish design features a lanyard or chain eyelet that is turned 90 degrees so that the loupe won’t turn sideways when worn. The Nikon 10X 13mm triplet lens is orthoscopic featuring high definition of more than 63 lines a millimeter. The black case eliminates light reflections that can change the color of the stone you are grading. The is no spherical distortion at the edges of this lens, and of course, this 10X triplet is corrected for color aberrations. While the 13mm size of the lens may seen smaller than others, the fact is that the larger lenses on the market have the same area in focus (13mm) as the Nikon. The larger lens loupes will just have out of focus edges beyond the 13mm area of focus. You just can’t cheat the law of optics!
