Solderite Soldering Board – Hard Compound

An important part of any soldering station,these 1/2″ thick Solderite boards are made using denser fillers and reinforcing agents compared to the 3/4″ thick softer versions of the Solderite boards.  These boards are longer lasting compared to the softer Solderite boards but are much harder to stick with pins and aren’t made for pressing items into.

Solderite boards reflect more heat compared to ceramic or silquar boards, so they are useful for soldeing larger jobs than can use the extra heat.  They are also cleaner to work on compared to charcoal blocks or firebrick. Maximum temperature is 1700^oF (927^oC).
