This steel bur chuck is made to fit the left hand side of Baldor Tapered Shaft motors as used in the jewelry industry. Chuck has a zero to 1/4″ capacity.
Just slide it onto the left tapered shaft of a Baldor motor (that has a tapered shaft as commonly used in the jewelry industry) and give it a light tap with a mallet to firmly seat on the shaft.
