The quality of jewelry tools made in India has steadily improved over the years, as production has moved from small cottage industry to larger facilities that use modern machine tools. This Value Line forming block with matching punches is an excellent example of the progress being made. For the money, you just can’t beat it, as the fit and finish of this swage set is good, especially the punches.
The Swage block itself is not perfect like the Pepe swage block or the Italian Swage blocks we sell, as there are some very minor nicks on some edges. All in all, the quality is quite serviceable.
The 50mm x 60mm swage or forming block has half-round, v shape and rectangular grooves cut into the sides to be used with the ten different round punches, and six different square or corner shaped punches. The wood block measures 4-1/2″ x 7″ and has a marked spot for all the tools.
