Similar to our more expensive electronic rotary tumblers, this low cost 6 pound capacity rotary tumbler comes with simple analog timer and speed controls instead of the digital controls on the more expensive units. This single direction rotary tumbler can take up to 3 kilos (a little bit more than 6 Lb.) of steel shot, or combined media and product for burnishing, polishing or cut down, depending on the chosen media. 110V/60c. Made in China.
What is Rotary Tumbling? Rotary tumbling is a proven mass finishing technique for burnishing or cutting surfaces. Effects are achieved over a period of several hours or even days, as tumbling is the slowest of all the mass finishing techniques, but capacity for dollar spent is the greatest. Use steel media with detergent compounds to burnish and work-harden pieces or use plastic media with detergents for aggressive cut-down.
